Hi, I’m LOK YI LI  you could also call me Melody  !
I’m a student of University of the Arts London, I am currently taking the course of Illustration and Visual Media (BA) at London college of Communication . I define myself as an illustrator , creative person and a experimenter.

Since I was very young, I started be passionate about drawing and art .At the very beginning, I used traditional drawing media and ways. With the advancement of technology, I began to use applications such as drawing tablet, Photoshop, ProCreate, and other softwares. The majority of my work is now digital. I'm open to trying new things, whether it's traditional painting, animation,  installation, or photography.

I don't believe my work can be defined as a particular style. Styles, in my opinion,  are flexible. As an artist, my aim is not to be restricted to a specific style, but to embark on a journey of exploration. I feel that images and visual media can communicate more information and emotions than words, therefore words rarely occur in my works. My works are usually not that abstract,  I want the viewer to be able to simply understand the narrative and meaning from it. My artistic style may be quite unstable,  I enjoy expressing sarcasm, but I do not hate positive stuff. I feel that artists may express themselves via a variety of techniques and materials; keep exploring and extend your comfort zone , it should be fun!
